Snowshoeing is a popular winter activity. Enjoy it even more by making your very own wood-framed heirloom snowshoes, featuring the all-purpose Ojibwa style (11” x 54”), with larger and smaller sizes available as needed.
All snowshoes are laced with tubular nylon, which is comfortable to work with and has great strength when varnished. All materials included with the price of the ticket. Learn how to lace your own snowshoes with experienced craftsmen: Jackson Harren and Kathy Napper.
Instructors will be available the second day to help students finish, but it is possible to glean enough to finish at home.
Folk School Warroad is able to offer tickets at half price because of a grant from Northwest MN Arts Council.
