Back by popular demand! Come design your own block that can be used over and over. Relief Printing is a family of printing methods where a printing block has been carved and then inked. When the inked surface is brought into contact with paper, your design is printed.

Native ribbon skirts are traditionally worn at many different social functions. Taught by Desiré Freude, in this class you will choose your kit and learn how to sew it up for your own ribbon skirt.

Discover the vibrant world of mosaics! In this beginner-friendly class, featured gallery artist Sherri Kruger-Kukowski will guide you through introductory techniques of this ancient art form—with a modern twist. The result will be a 4x6" abstract seasonal scene, unique to each maker.

In this climate we all need a quilt in our car for safety.  Or a rugged quilt for picnics or the beach. This class is an excellent beginner sewing and/or beginner quilt project.

Come and see creativity in motion as these school-aged dancers perform their own choreographed routines as well as competition pieces. Solos, duets, trios, and small groups will take the stage at Warroad RiverPlace.

Drop in the Warroad RiverPlace classroom to make your very own Valentine's Day paper suncatcher, inspired by the beautiful stained glass suncatchers hanging in our gallery windows this month by featured artist Sherri Kruger-Kukowski. This is a free event open to all school-age children.

Bring whatever you are working on — quilting, embroidery, knitting, etc. This is a free day of getting projects done and enjoying the company of other crafters. Come for one hour or all six.

Vision boards are a great exercise in goal setting with purpose and peace. Now that the new year is here, come join us in a creative and fun way to usher in 2025.

For the past six years, master drummer, composer, and internationally-recognized enthnomusicologist Sowah Mensah has partnered with the Warroad Elementary Music Department to bring African music and culture alive in the classroom. On Saturday, January 18, Sowah and his 30-piece African Music Ensemble from Macalester College in St. Paul will lift up their voices and perform with a variety of African instruments including xylophones, marimbas, flutes, horns, and an assortment of drums and gourds.

This event is free and open to the public.

Everyone is welcome to a gallery open house and artist reception for Warroad RiverPlace’s first solo exhibition, “Repurpose, Preserve, Rejuvenate,” by mosaic artist Sherri Kruger-Kukowski of Badger, Minn.

Come learn how to make small, wool felted creatures by crafting this cute penguin. This adorable penguin could be an addition to your decorations or a present topper! The materials will all be provided and you will understand how to make more sweet little figures.  

Piano and voice students of Nancy Fisher have been practicing for months in anticipation of their annual Christmas recital – the first to be held at RiverPlace.

Join Let’s Dance Studio for a delightful tale where music from the 50s and Santa getting lost in the Swiss Alps meet. Preschool to Level 4 dancers, along with parents and guests, will take you back to the time when things were “swell,” rock ‘n’ roll was king, and sock hops were the ultimate hangouts.

Enjoy the fun of painting your own unique bowl for the holiday season! Create your personalized piece, and then come back after their pieces are fired to take it home with you to enjoy or gift. (Ages 8+)

Voices from the Warroad Schools choirs will fill the performance hall with classic holiday music under the direction of Nancy Fisher with accompaniment by Trina Billingsley.

Come learn how to make homemade stovetop potpourri in a jar! These can be made ahead of time, and put on the stovetop to make your home smell like the holidays. Each person will go home with two finished jars, so you can choose to keep one and give one to a loved one for a simple yet beautiful homemade gift. 

The holiday season will come alive with festive and awe-inspiring selections by a community choir, bell choir, and local musicians at RiverPlace’s first annual Christmas concert.
