Join The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, one of the UK’s premier theatre companies, this fall as they tour the United States. With a history stretching back to William Shakespeare’s original company, first set up in 1594, they present Othello—one of the most captivating and thrilling plays ever written—as Shakespeare first saw it; with an all male cast, and Elizabethan costumes, music, and dance.

Othello, the Moor of Venice, a respected General in the Venetian army, promotes the young Cassio to be his Lieutenant over Iago, a soldier in his service. In doing so he unwittingly sparks Iago’s deep-seated hatred into terrifying life and sets in motion a horrendous spiral of vengeance and destruction that sweeps away everyone before it. As Iago weaves his web and seeks his revenge, he poisons Othello against Desdemona, who he has recently and secretly married, and turns the world upside down until Othello becomes unmoored from reality with devastating consequences.

How do I get tickets? Warroad RiverPlace is handling the box office for this event. You must pick your seat for this show. Tickets can be purchased using the “Tickets” button above, by calling 218-986-0001, or stopping by RiverPlace at 103 State Avenue Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5.
What is the seating arrangement for this production? Seating will be in our normal theater mode with pit, mezzanine, and orchestra seating, including an accessibility row. If you require additional assistance or accomodations for this production, please contact RiverPlace at 218-986-0001.

When do doors open? RiverPlace doors open at 6 PM and performance hall doors open at 6:30 PM.
Is there an intermission? The performance will be approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes long including a 15 minute intermission.
What is the age range for this show? There is not an age limit, but please be advised the show does contain stage fighting and death. There is no modern swearing or nudity. Parents are advised to exercise discretion.

Is there accessibility seating? Yes. The Warroad RiverPlace performance hall includes accessible seating—designated spaces for individuals who use wheelchairs and companion seats. The hall has an accessible seating row in the front of the orchestra level, with accessibility to the mezzanine level via elevator lift. The accessibility row also offers movable seats, allowing showgoers to sit in a theater seat rather than their wheelchair, walker, or other assistive device. Are mezzanine/balcony seats available for this production? Yes! Please note that only ages 18+ are allowed in this seating area.

Where do I park? We offer free parking along Highway 11, including four accessible parking spaces. Need to be dropped off? Our front, canopied entry accommodates easy drop-off access for our patrons.
What if I arrive late? We don't want you to miss a moment, so please be on time! If you arrive after show start, RiverPlace staff will help escort you to a seat at an appropriate break in the action. You may be seated in an alternative location designated for late arrivals until intermission.
